In a shocking incident, a Bhatinda-based man was caught on video thrashing a cop and tearing his uniform after he hit two motorcycles in Ambala, Haryana. The incident occurred earlier on October 13, when the cop, an Assistant Sub-Inspector, was posted in front of Gurudwara Maji Sahib on the Rajpura-Ambala Road. The accused has been charged and during interrogation, claimed to be in a depressive state.
Shocking video taken from the scene of incident shows the accused in a yellow shirt assaulting the cop. The cop in question can be seen trying to back off and defend himself with a grim look on his face. The accused can also be seen hurling abuses at the cop and making aggressive gestures to the people who are witnessing the scene like mute spectators.

The accused has been identified as Lavish Batra, a resident of Agarwal Colony, Bhatinda. Meanwhile, the cop who faced the brunt of the accused’s brash behaviour was identified as Assistant-Sub Inspector Ashok Kumar.
As per reports, the driver was speeding an SUV and hit two motorcycles. When the cops rushed to check on the injured, the accused got out of his car and started to assault him. After the accused was charged, his family submitted documents stating that the accused was on medications.
Further investigation is underway.
