In a heartbreaking development, India Army’s assault dog ‘Zoom’ was critically injured while fighting terrorists in J&K. Video of Zoom’s hair-raising training has since been making rounds of social media, earning plaudits from netizens who have wished the Army dog a speedy recovery. According to reports, the operation took place in Anantnag’s Kokernag in J&K and the Army dog is currently taking treatment in Srinagar.

Earlier on Sunday, the Army received credible inputs regarding presence of terrorists in Tangpawa area of south Kashmir. Based on the inputs, the Army kicked off its operation of neutralizing the terrorists. In the high-stakes operation, Zoom was tasked to clear out the house where the terrorists were in hiding.
Zoom went inside the house and launched an attack on the militants. The terrorists retaliated and shot Zoom twice, critically injuring the Army canine. Despite being severely hit, Zoom continued on its operation, which finally ended with the two terrorists being neutralized.
Following the incident, the Army’s Chinar Corps took to Twitter and shared a video in the honour of the brave Army dog and lauded Zoom’s contribution.
Reportedly, the two terrorists neutralised were affiliated to Lashkar-e-Taiba, and were involved in several terror cases, including civilian and police attacks. The Army was also able to recover incriminating weapons and papers at the site.
