Adnan Sami Breaks Silence on Why he Left Pakistan, Promises to ‘Expose’ Govt. “Will expose the reality”:

Singer Adnan Sami recently broke his silence on why he left his native country, and also promised to ‘expose’ the current regime in the country. The ‘Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao’ singer shared an elaborate post on Twitter where he went in details as to why he has issues with the Pakistani government. While Sami spent his early years in London, UK, his father was Pakistan Air Force pilot and a bureaucrat.

“Many people ask me why I have such contempt towards Pakistan. The hard truth is that I have absolutely no contempt towards the people of Pakistan who have been good to me. I love everyone who loves me- period,” the actor’s statement on Twitter read. He added that while he has no contempt for Pakistani citizens, he has “major issues with the establishment”.

Speaking about his decision to leave Pakistan, Sami mentioned, “Those who truly know me will also know what that establishment did to me for many years which ultimately became one of the big reasons for me to leave Pakistan.”

As per reports, Sami requested for Indian citizenship in 2015, which was approved a year later. He was also awarded the Padma Shri back in 2020, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour.
