Four Men Booked For Hanging Pet Dog to Death After Triggering Video Goes Viral

In Ghaziabad, four men were booked for hanging a pet dog to death after the triggering video of the incident went viral on social media. The incident was reported from Tronica City’s Ilaichipur area located in Ghaziabad’s Loni town. Although the incident took place earlier in April this year, it was only until recently that its video surfaced, following which the cops took cognizance of the matter.

In the video gone viral, the accused can be seen hanging the dog by tying its neck with a metal chain from a wall. One of the accused can be seen pulling a chain, and the dog gives a gut-wrenching wail of pain. The agony of the dog somehow triggers the accused to encourage the accused who pulled the chain. The ordeal ultimately ends as the dog succumbs and dies.

After the triggering video of the incident went viral on social media, many netizens expressed their outrage on social media. DCW chief Swati Maliwal tweeted, “I am very upset after watching the video. Brutality against animals is increasing each day. Humans are losing humanity.”

The accused in the matter were identified as Dheeraj Kumar, his son Atul and Dheeraj’s nephews Sumit and Nikhil. The accused have been booked under sections of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
