Hyundai has revealed its latest SUV car, the Kona, which is set to be released later this year with both petrol and electric powertrain options. In addition to its sleek design, the Kona will also boast advanced safety features like ADAS. Let's take a closer look at what makes this SUV special.
Design:
The Kona has a striking appearance, with a long bonnet and a full-width ‘Seamless Horizon’ LED light bar that stretches across the front of the car. The electric model also includes a front-mounted charging option. Other design elements include roof rails, flared wheel arches, and stylish silver wheels. At the back of the car, you'll find a shark-fin antenna, full-width taillamps, and a large windscreen.
Powertrain:
The Kona comes with two petrol engine options - a 2.0-L and a 1.6-L turbo-petrol engine - and a front/all-wheel drive system. The electric model, on the other hand, features a front-mounted electric motor with either a 48.4kWh or 65.4kWh power pack, which can drive up to 342 km and 490 km respectively.
Features:
Inside the Kona, you'll find a spacious 5-seater cabin with premium seats. The car features a touchscreen infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrumental console, multiple airbags, parking cameras and sensors, voice command technology, ADAS features, and ambient lighting.
Price:
The price of the Kona has not yet been announced, but it is estimated to be around Rs 20 lakh. When it is released, the Kona will compete with other SUVs like the CX-30, which has a price of Rs. 15,98,000 ex-showroom.
