Waris Punjab De Chief and Fugitive Amritpal Singh Surrenders to Punjab Police





After being on the run for over a month, the chief of the organization 'Waris Punjab De' and fugitive Amritpal Singh surrendered to the Punjab Police. He was detained in Moga, Punjab and charged with at least six cases under the National Security Act. Singh's arrest took place at Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sant Khalsa, in Rode village, Moga, which is the native village of slain militant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.

 Amritpal Singh, the chief of the organization 'Waris Punjab De' and a fugitive, surrendered to the Punjab Police after over a month of being on the run. 

He was detained in Moga, Punjab, and is expected to be transferred to Dibrugarh jail in Assam under heavy security. 

Amritpal Singh's wife was stopped at the Amritsar airport before his arrest. The Punjab Police have charged him with at least six cases in Amritsar Rural and Jalandhar Rural police districts and invoked the National Security Act against him. Amritpal Singh was introduced as the new leader of 'Waris Punjab De' after Deep Sidhu's death in February 2022.


 He returned to India from Dubai on September 29, 2022, and underwent an initiation ceremony in Anandpur Sahib. The Punjab Police have urged citizens to avoid sharing fake news and maintain peace and harmony.
